The senior investment professionals are experienced mentors to entrepreneurs and have a demonstrated ability to source, structure and successfully monetize private equity investments through various economic climates.

GCP Capital Partners (“GCP”) manages North American private equity funds that have invested approximately $2.0 billion in 70+ portfolio companies. Since 2000, GCP’s realized investments have generated over $3.1 billion in proceeds. Fourteen of GCP’s portfolio companies have gone public after GCP’s investment. The funds primarily make investments in the tech-enabled business services and financial services/technology industries. GCP generally makes controlling or influential minority investments of $10 to $50 million.

GCP Capital Partners was formed in 2009 as the successor to Greenhill Capital Partners, the merchant banking business of Greenhill & Co., Inc. (NYSE: GHL), which was founded in 2000.

Nine of GCP’s portfolio companies have grown from “acorns” to “mighty-oaks”, exiting at $1 billion enterprise values or higher.

Criteria

We look to invest in industries with strong underlying growth and in businesses where incremental capital can generate attractive returns on investment and further accelerate growth, both organically and through acquisitions. GCP looks for businesses at inflection points in their operating models, often post VC-funding, but pre-IPO or larger scale private equity capital
